a) Identity of the Data Controller
Pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“Law” or “KVKK”) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), your personal data will be processed by BESTSELLER BİRLEŞİKTEKSTİL TOPTAN VE PERAKENDE TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (the “Company”), acting as the data controller, and in the event of any updates to your personal data, such data will continue to be processed for the same purposes.
b) Purposes of Processing Personal Data, Collection Methods and Legal Grounds
In the event that you make a purchase through the website without becoming a member, your Identity Information (Name, Surname, Tax Identification Number) and Contact Information (E-mail Address, Telephone Number, Address), which are collected through non-automated means based on the information you provide by completing the electronic form available on the delivery address screen under the “My Cart” section, will be processed for the following purposes:
Performing the purchase transaction and issuing and delivering the e-invoice/e-archive invoice related to your purchase;
Fulfilling the requirements of the distance sales agreement, including order preparation, packaging, preparation of dispatch notes, shipment, and updating delivery information;
Enabling you to collect your products from our stores if you wish to benefit from the service of receiving your order from our warehouse or stores;
Distinguishing the records created for you within our system from the records of other customers;
Providing after-sales support services (such as alterations, exchanges, returns, and product inspections).
Such processing is based on the legal ground specified under Article 5(2)(c) of the KVKK and Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, namely: “processing of personal data belonging to the parties of a contract is necessary, provided that such processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract.”
Your personal data will be retained for 10 years following the termination of the contract.
Within the scope of the SELECTED Membership Program Site Membership (“www.selected.com/tr-tr”), your Contact Information (E-mail Address, Telephone Number), collected through non-automated means based on the information you provide by completing the electronic form available on the delivery address screen under the “My Cart” section, will be processed for the purposes of:
Carrying out commercial communication activities (SMS, e-mail, phone calls, etc.) through your current contact information regarding general campaigns, benefits, promotions, advertisements, notifications, and marketing activities;
Conducting customer satisfaction surveys regarding our products and services;
Sending invitations related to campaigns, contests, sweepstakes, invitations, openings, and other events.
Such processing will be carried out based on your explicit consent pursuant to Article 5(1) of the KVKK and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, namely: “the existence of your explicit consent.”
Your personal data will be retained for 3 years following the withdrawal of your consent.
c) To Whom and For What Purposes Your Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred
Your personal data may be transferred to third parties located in Türkiye or abroad.

With our shareholder company located abroad due to the website infrastructure being provided by the shareholder company, based on GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and KVKK Article 5(2)(f): “Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.”
With our supplier located abroad due to the website being hosted on cloud servers located abroad, based on GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and KVKK Article 5(1): “The existence of your explicit consent.”

With our suppliers located in Türkiye for ensuring İYS integration and compliance with the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages numbered 29417, based on GDPR Article 6(1)(c) and KVKK Article 5(2)(ç): “Processing of personal data is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation.”
With our supplier located abroad due to the servers of the service provider carrying out advertising notification activities being located abroad, based on GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and KVKK Article 5(2)(f): “Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.”
d) Information Regarding Your Rights Under the KVKK & GDPR as a Personal Data Subject
As a personal data subject, you may exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK (Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller) and Chapter III of the GDPR as follows:
