What began as a passion project in a nearly 100-year-old dairy has grown into one of the area's most popular summer stops. At Voel Ismejeri, Italian gelato traditions meet local Danish ingredients, with many flavours built around berries, fruit and flowers sourced close to home. For a refreshing break, head to Østre Søbad by Almindsø, one of Denmark’s cleanest lakes. If you feel like indulging in some culture, Museum Jorn is the place to go. This is a museum dedicated to one for Denmark’s most daring artists, Asger Jorn. Inside, colour, character and imagination takes the lead, with works that feel bold, restless and full of life.
